Pixel!SCAN enables UNIX workstation users to incorporate line art,grayscale, and true color images into existing application packages. Itworks with a wide variety of grayscale and color scanners, and includes apoint-and-click, Motif-based user interface. Pixel!SCAN deliversunparalleled functionality, including the ability to prescan images andselect areas of interest; change modes to accommodate various imagetypes; interactively adjust the intensity, contrast, and gamma settings;perform color calibration; and utilize custom and linear Look Up Tables(LUTs). With Pixel!SCAN, users can resize, invert, dither, and downloadimages to a variety of file formats. Pixel!SCAN is also a frontend toother image management programs from Mentalix, including Pixel!EDIT,PixelVIEW and Pixel!OCR.
